Curious Entrepreneurs at Ideas Fest

We are excited to present a crowdfunding project that aims to get 100 18 - 24 year olds who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) to an exclusive festival designed for business leaders, entrepreneurs, and creatives.'Glastonbury for Entrepreneurs'This festival is not your typical conference; it's a festival setting that offers a unique opportunity for the 2,000 attendees to make connections, form friendships, and advance their businesses. One of last year's attendees described it as the; "best conference I have ever been to, mainly because it wasn't one."What is the planWe have an agreement with the founders of Ideas Fest to allow Curious Entrepreneurs an exclusive tent at the heart of the festival, called 'Curious Corner'. For the most part of the festival, the 'Curious Corner' will be a space for 18 - 24 year olds only, where they can have exclusive fireside chats with experienced speakers from the main programme of Ideas Fest, including the founders of; BrewDog, ScoreApp, and King of Shaves. Not forgetting our multiple allies, including Simon Squibb, Founder of The Purposeful Project.During selected periods of the agenda, we will allow the over 24s access to the 'Curious Corner'. These sessions will be a platform where the real experts (18-24s) take the stage; giving them a platform to be heard by experienced business leaders and industry experts. The Curious Entrepreneurs will share their ideas, opinions and visions with the audience, including; CEOs, board members, academia and policy members.Our aim is always to support young people to help spark their curiosity, ignite their hearts and activate their ideas. Why is it important?The barriers to a fulfilling journey into professional life for young people are aplenty. Right now, in the UK, thousands of 16-24 year olds are NEET (not in education, employment or undergoing training).Why?Because they are simply not aware of the opportunities available to them…and because they are not aware, they are uninspired.As a result, employers are struggling to recruit young talent, causing a disconnect. The education system is fundamentally flawed in supporting, celebrating and capitalising on the capabilities of ALL young people, both academically and creatively.Each £200 we raise will pay for one more young person to experience Ideas Fest.  You will help us get another step closer to our goal of inspiring 5,000 16-24 year olds through engaging entrepreneurial events and experiences.
